This drawing of a seated Indian woman was created by artist Wendy D. Stolyarov using a 4B pencil on Strathmore drawing paper. This work is particularly impressive in its ability to convey a wide variety of shades and textures, especially on the woman’s face. The level of detail on the face is extremely realistic, and the woman’s eyes seem alive and engaged. Also interesting is the impression of a light source to the left of the drawing. This work, like several others created by Mrs. Stolyarov, only took two hours to complete, which testifies to a tremendous amount of skill on the part of the artist.
