In this video presentation, Mr. Stolyarov critiques the view that true ideas will automatically win out over false ideas, by virtue of people eventually and inevitably coming to reject the contradictions and bad consequences entailed in false ideas. Mr. Stolyarov presents seven reasons why this is not so and demonstrates that actively promoting true ideas is necessary in order for these ideas to gain any currency in society. What is true and what most people find persuasive are not one and the same, and advocates of truth need to work hard in order to become as persuasive and esteemed as advocates of numerous political and economic falsehoods.
