Description by the artist: “If you look at my gallery on DeviantArt, you’ll quickly notice that animals are some of my favorite subject material. I’m currently working on this painting of a bluejay, inspired by a small ceramic statue that my husband purchased at a garage sale years ago. This is therefore both a nature painting and a still life!”
