Deep in the crevices where there is scantly light,
\nFormican hordes amassed, antitheses of right:
\nThe tyrant queen, attendant sycophantic knaves,
\nVast quantities of servants \u2013 or compliant slaves \u2013
\nNot even one savant among them to protest
\nAntagonistic ploys to rouse their dormant nest.
\nIn wanton disregard of property and tact alike
\nAt my abode they militantly sought to strike,
\nPast every antechamber to the kitchen went,
\nDetected every speck pursuant to its scent,
\nIn swarms outrageous antics perpetrated,
\nBlatantly coveted the food refrigerated!<\/p>\n

Defiantly I stood against them, justice-bound,
\nIn Reason my advantage could be found.
\nAgainst the vast, infestant foe I called to fight
\nAbundant bait abetted by the Mighty Mite.
\nCombatant infantry, by gel intoxicated,
\nConveyed the poison, as anticipated,
\nTo queen and to the infant larvae of their brood,
\nWith rampant appetites devouring fatal food.
\nThrough errant treachery these looters had invaded,
\nThusly, through treachery, their remnant faded.
\nAnd yet not one foe would its evil ways recant,
\nTherefore, no mercy asked \u2013 no mercy could I grant.
\nMark Antony himself, transplanted from the grave,
\nWould have scant means these miscreants to save.
\nOnly oblivion did the doomed assailants find.
\nRejoice triumphantly, victorious mankind!
\nAs at Lepanto and Antietam, so now here
\nThe valiant defense of right did persevere,
\nAnd while Constantinople\u2019s walls once failed,
\nMy adamantine bastion has prevailed!<\/p>\n

Observant reader, heed the moral of this tale:
\nGargantuan numbers may incessantly assail
\nWhat we hold dear with brute, malignant force,
\nBut if ascendant Reason charts a constant course,
\nNo giant, teeming mass man\u2019s fortunes can derail.<\/p>\n
