Mr. Stolyarov composed “Industry” in 2001. The present version is played using Finale 2011 software and the Steinway Grand Piano instrument. This piece employs a rapid tempo, large numbers of massive chords, and periodic variations on the main theme. As the work progresses, the intensity and degree of ornamentation increase; this is intended to represent the accelerating effects of industrial progress.

This joyful, triumphant, and refined contemporary classical composition was made possible by the generous support of Mr. Andrew Pann via the New Rational Classical Composition project on Kickstarter.

Mr. Pann is a cellist, and – in his honor – this piece is arranged for a cello and three pianos. The cello and the key of F major add to the warmth and brightness of the melody. This composition is played in the Finale 2011 software using the Steinway Grand Piano and Cello Plr3 instruments.Thank you, also, to Mr. Carl Witty, for contributing funds to the creation of this work.

For the first time, I am publicly releasing both the complete musical notation and the computer source file for one of my compositions. All of my compositions are completely free to listen to and download, and are distributed under a Creative Commons license.

Baroque Composition for Piano and Organ, Op. 69 (Neo-Baroque, really) is composed for three pianos and one organ. Anyone is welcome to play it, compose variations upon it, compose new works inspired by it, and tinker with the source file to develop alternative versions.

This waltz experiments with harmonies not found in Mr. Stolyarov’s previous works, while remaining true to Mr. Stolyarov’s conviction that music must be pleasant to the ear and convey a joyous, confident sense of life.
