23andMe and the FDA’s Travesty of Justice – Video by G. Stolyarov II

Mr. Stolyarov explains that the US Food and Drug Administration has hit a new low in warning the genetic testing service 23andMe to halt sales of its $99 testing kits. The kits are not a drug or medical treatment; they merely provide information and violate no one’s rights. The irrationality of some people is used as an excuse to deny everyone else potentially life-saving information while establishing artificial barriers that would prevent declines in the cost of medical care.

  1. Thank you Mr. Stolyarov. The FDA has also interfered in the business of stem cell therapy, they prevent a company, Regenexx, from offering a treatment in the US which reportedly has been successful in restoring pain free use of arthritic joints which involves injecting a person’s own stem cells into the targeted area. I was researching this procedure and it became unavailable. I also have been doing DNA testing for genealogy purposes and discovered 23&me’s services and am interested in their services. The FDA has no business interfering with either of these businesses. They are purely protecting their own turf even at the expense of harming the health of citizens they are supposedly mandated to protect. The are certain we would all be better off if the FDA ceased to exist.
